Letter from the President

Since 1994 Nextel Engineering has provided IT and engineering solutions to the best-managed companies in the financial, industrial, infrastructure, telecommunications, heath and pharmacy, transport and distribution, and safety and defense sectors.

During this time we have recognized specific needs in these sectors. We have responded to these needs with what we call “vertical solutions”, solutions that have helped our clients solve operations problems with a strong impact on their bottom line, or create a new market based on unresolved needs in their sector. Among those we can mention are the solutions to interoperability and maintenance of medical records privacy, financial risk management for Banks and Insurance, electronic signatures, electronic invoicing, the efficient restocking of vending machines, real-time interaction between different defense and security groups, real-time HLA interoperability between simulators with synthetic and real scenarios, and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) of the lifecycle of machines and land, sea and aerospace vehicles.

Where horizontal solutions are concerned, we should mention the activities we have carried out with Microsoft, as their number one partner during the past two years in areas such as: client software inventory management; in knowledge of main indicators of business functioning and in the detection of cost-saving areas through the application of Business Intelligence tools; encouragement of collaboration between company members and those in the value chain; or in the integration of all elements and channels of internal communication with external communication to reduce operation costs while improving the user’s experience with unified communications.

For many years, Nextel Engineering has stood out for its excellence in the construction of software on request, meeting deadlines without compromising quality. To achieve this, it is not only necessary to comply with the development cycle’s certified management processes, but also for us, as well as the client, to have a strong sense of discipline.

Today, we might possibly be the most sought-after consultant for training, installing and transferring knowledge on IBM Rational software lifecycle tools, to the point that its contribution, critical in CMMi, is greatly important in developing environments of a certain size.

The administration of IT systems is more complex today than ever, to the point where it consumes most of a company’s IT resources. This is an undesirable situation because too much time is dedicated to support and not enough to adding value to the company. Nextel Netsourcing is our response to IT System Management, promising to free up IT resources so that more time can be spent on activities that add value to your company, while reducing operations costs and maintaining services levels for each organization’s needs.

Our objective is none other than to become the preferred service provider of our clients, and not number one in the sector based on sales volume. We are motivated by a job well done which also produces tangible results in the short term. It moves us to see on the faces of our clients satisfaction and confidence that they can continue to count on us as their technology services company. This is what we believe in.

I cannot close this short note without proudly congratulating our Sailing Team who, with limited resources but with great talent, perfection in performance and pushed to the limit, were declared World Sailing Champions in J80 last July in Kiel (Germany).
