NCWare
SIM
The Simulation Middleware
Nextel Engineering provides Real Time Interoperability
between HLA and DDS systems. Using NCWare SIM it has
never been so easy, direct and cost effective to connect
legacy and next-generation simulators, in a net-centric
environment.
NCWare SIM is a real time networking
middleware based on the publish/subscribe paradigm compliant
with IEEE HLA and OMG DDS standards. NCWare SIM offers
developers a unified API, enabling the easy integration
of distributed systems in simulation and network-centric
environments.
NCWare SIM integrates into one single
API HLA distributed simulation features complemented
by DDS's QoS for real time communications.
Our middleware supports IEEE HLA 1516-2000
and OMG DDS 1.2 standards that are adopted and promoted
by the Defence and Modelling Simulation Office (DMSO),
U.S. Navy´s Open Arquitecture Computing Environment
(OACE), NATO and others.
NCWare SIM enables:
Simplified distribution of components
between HLA simulations and DDS applications. Any component
can be deployed in a HLA federation or in a DDS domain.
Permits the use of different COTS HLA compliant RTI,
using the same interface.
Very easy access to base send/receive data service.
Access to high value services of QoS, persistence, ownership,
filtering, fault tolerance, and many more.

BENEFITS:
Using NCWare you can boost the interoperability
between applications. Applications can run on a real
time DDS domain, in a HLA federation, or in a hybrid
environment.
NCWare uses advanced mapping algorithms
to integrate DDS domains and HLA federations. Interoperability
is not limited to data, but also covers HLA services
such as ownership management, persistence and federation
management.
