Control of the life cycle of the software

development, IBM has a suite of products – Rational –
designed to facilitate control and assist the communities of developers
in automating processes and in integrating all the stages of software
production.
What does the life cycle
of software development involve?
Software development is linked to a life cycle, comprising
a series of stages covering all the activities, from the moment when
the idea arises to create a new software product, up to when the product
finally stops being used by the last of its users.
Consultancy and services for the Rational
suite
Nextel Engineering, as an IBM Advanced Business Partner, has a specialized
department in consultancy and integration services for the tools in
the Rational Suite. It provides solutions on IBM Rational technology
for implementation of processes in Software Engineering processes,
based on the best practices of methodologies such as RUP, or Métrica
V.3, covering all the disciplines involved in Software production,
making it possible to adapt the processes depending on the requirements
of the different quality models, such as CMMI, PECAL/AQAP or ISO.
Nextel Engineering grounds its value proposal both on the experience
built up over the past 6 years in its own developments for the Aerospace
market and for Defense at its NADS Division, as well as on the good
practices applied on a day to day basis in projects currently under
development, and in the implementation of this type of solution in
Customers for these markets.

Integration of IBM Rational tools makes it possible
to cover the entire life cycle of a Software System, giving a global

requirements, through the design and testing stages. At the same time,
it maintains a configuration management system orientated towards
component reuse architecture and its parallel development. This guarantees
a solid, reliable, reproducible, consistent development process.
